Translational and Applied Science

One of IEMM's core areas of strength is bridging the gap between science and how it can be used to make beneficial real-world changes.

Translational and Applied Science includes three of IEMM's areas of expertise: meaningful stakeholder engagement, translation of science into action, and development and supported implementation of decision support tools.

IEMM stakeholders

Meaningful Stakeholder Engagement

IEMM co-produces, collaborates, and builds consensus with partners and stakeholders. We facilitate meaningful stakeholder engagement and foster inclusion and trust to support effective problem solving and decision making strategies.
Connecting Wildlands and Communities

Translating Science into Action

IEMM strives to effectively communicate the results of our scientific work. We develop project-specific tools, resources, and workshops to meet the needs of our partners, stakeholders, and communities.
Decision support tool

Decision Support Tools

IEMM research applies multi-criteria evaluation techniques to generate meaningful recommendations and support decision making.
